The Czech Plato Society is pleased to announce the XVth Symposium Platonicum Pragense on Plato’s Theory of Forms. The conference will be held on 16 – 18 October 2025 in Prague, Czech Republic. The Czech Plato Society has organised international and national conferences on Plato’s philosophy since 1997.
We invite submissions of abstracts on any topic related to Plato’s Theory of Forms. Submissions should focus on substantive discussion and avoid overly introductory approaches or mere summaries of current scholarship. We especially welcome papers addressing the topic across multiple dialogues.
Please submit abstracts of a maximum of 1000 words to pragueforms2025@gmail.com, accompanied by your academic CV in a separate document, by 11 May 2025. Submissions can be in English, German or French. To facilitate anonymous review, please prepare the abstract with all identifying information withheld.
Successful applicants will be notified by 30 June 2025. Successful applicants will be offered up to 30 minutes to present their paper, followed by 40 minutes of general discussion. After the selection and review process, the conference proceedings will be published within Brill’s Plato Studies Series.
